Olympic Update: Donohue Misses in 1500m Semifinal
Haddonfield's hometown favorite, Erin Donohue, failed to qualify for the 1500m in the semifinal rounds of the Beijing Olympics early on Thursday. She does not get to run in the 1500m finals and for Erin Donohue, the Olympics end here. She finished 7th in heat two of the semifinal round in 4:16.05, about two seconds off the leaders' qualifying times.
Donohue's American teammate, Christin Wurth-Thomas, also failed to qualify in heat one.

Olympic Update: Heights' Blaine Neal, Team USA Advances
Pitcher Blaine Neal (Haddon Heights -- Bishop Eustace) and Team USA defeated Japan 4-2 in 11 innings on Wednesday to finish the preliminary round, 5-2. The Americans will face Cuba in Friday's semifinal (6 a.m. EDT).
