Thomas A., on May 13, 2024, age 79, of Haddon Heights, formerly of Philadelphia. Beloved husband of 54 years to Betty P. (née Holmberg). Loving father of Douglas J. Horton (Christine) and Michael T. Horton (Carolyn). Proud grandfather of Gracie, Paige, Aubrey, Chase, Lucy, Hazel, Cutter and the late Luke. Dear brother of Stuart Horton (Jane) and Margaret Alexander (Steve). Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Tom grew up in Philadelphia, PA and graduated from Frankford High School. He then attended Cairn University (’68), where he met his wife Betty. He received his master’s degree from Rowan University. He was a youth pastor at Penn Square Community Church and then taught at The Kings Christian School for 42 years, while there he thoroughly enjoyed serving as the basketball and baseball coach. Tom also had a lawn care business. For the last 10 years, he worked at Magnolia Garden Village where he enjoyed caring for contractors, staff and customers. He was a member of Joy Community Fellowship Church, where he served for many years. Tom’s true passion was his love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his family. His discipleship has made an impact on hundreds of lives as a mentor, teacher and encourager. Tom’s humble and kind spirit shined through with just a glance of his smile. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday, May 25, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, at Fellowship Bible Church, 590 Jackson Rd., Sewell, where his Celebration of Life will begin at 11:30 AM. Interment private.
