Erma H. (nee Stallfort), peacefully on May 14, 2023, age 95, formerly of Mt. Ephraim. Beloved wife of the late Harold E. Yetter. Loving mother of Linda Y. Eckfeld (Thurman) of Williamstown. Dear sister of the late William Stallfort and Gladys Stallfort-Doerffel. Proud Nana of Kristin E. Beebe (Ryan) and Heather E. Gonnelli (Edward). Great Nana of Shane, Joshua, Adelynn, Avery and Jillian. Erma was born in Westmont to Helen (nee Schlitz) and Frederick Stallfort. As a child she attended the Westmont Baptist Church. She was the youngest person, age 12, to be designated by her pastor for immersion baptism. The family later moved to Collingswood, where Erma graduated from Collingswood High School. Erma sang in the school choir and church and later professionally, where she met her future husband who played drums while she was the vocalist in an orchestra. They were married in ValleyForgeChapelonJune7,1947. After welcoming their only child the following year, the new family moved to Mt. Ephraim, where they lived for more than 52 years. Erma was a stay at home mother who loved to have fun and just loved people. Later in life, she worked at the Hilton Hotel in Mt. Laurel as a telephone operator. While there, she received many accolades, including Employee of the Year several times, due to her wonderful work ethic, infectious personality, and by taking impeccable care of “her guests.” Relatives and friends were invited to attend her viewing at JACKSON FUNERAL HOME, 308 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township. Interment Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers contributions in Erma’s memory may be made to Pitman United Methodist Church, 758 N. Broadway, Pitman, NJ 08071.
