SCHOLARS: The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced that 13 Haddonfield Memorial High School (HMHS) seniors received letters of commendation from the 2023 NMSC.
Ryan Elmore, of Barrington, was named to Albright College’s inaugural class of 15 Global Scholars. The group of first year students arrived on campus a day early, and will be housed together in a living learning community throughout their first year, while taking a series of courses together in the fall and spring semesters.
Seton Hall University is pleased to announce the following local students qualified for the spring 2022 Dean’s List: Sara Otremsky, of Barrington, Michael Leason, of Barrington, Joseph Walls, of Haddonfield, Eugene Miller, of Haddon Heights, Shea Miller, of Haddon Heights, Elyse Bentz, of Haddon Township, Shannon McHugh, of Oaklyn, Abigail Quiles, of Haddon Township, and Amanda Giang, of Collin
Emily Sharon Marshall, of Haddonfield, was named to Clarkson University’s Dean’s List for the spring 2022 semester. She is a junior majoring in civil engineering.
Lilly Minor, of Haddonfield, graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in art history from James Madison University.
Jenna Engelbert, of Westmont, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in media arts and design from James Madison University.
Kaden Reuter, of Haddon Twp., was named to the Dean’s Honor List at Kean University for the spring 2022 semester. Kaden, a member of the Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society, is majoring in theatre design and technology.
Kaitlyn Bansky, of Haddon Township, graduated cum laude from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in business administration, accounting.

Feel the rhythm at Haddon Township’s 7th Annual Music Festival taking place on Sunday, October 16 from 1-9 p.m. on Haddon Avenue between Strawbridge Avenue and Cooper Street.
To celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Breast Friends for Life Team for Making Strides Ocean City Walk is hosting a basket auction fundraiser at Barrington’s Annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The basket auction will be located in the B Corner Parking Lot.
