Haddon Heights voted against joining the Colonial Alliance, a group formed to explore a possible shared police administration. Council pointed to other various shared policing services with Bellmawr, Mt. Ephraim, Runnemede, Audubon and Barrington, so members did not feel the need to consider additional ones.

Officials announced that concrete poured for the W. Park Blvd. bridge over Newton Creek in Haddon Township did not met specifications, so the bridge remained closed for an additional 60 days. The bridge first closed in September 2012 for work that was supposed to take just a few weeks, but the project experienced multiple delays.

Camden County began discussions regarding short- and long-term planning for Newton Lake, which had been overwhelmed by algal blooms and new lily pad growth, which indicated the sediment-filled waterway was declining in quality. A public meeting was scheduled for June 10 at Oaklyn borough hall. Peter Creek also experienced similar issues.
