Evelyn (née Behlau), peacefully on April 10, 2024, age 87. Born on August 25, 1936, she was raised in Collingswood and was happily married to her beloved husband John C. “Jack” for 60 years until his passing in 2019. Loving mother of Karen LaCelle (Ned) of Lansing, NY, David Tworzydlo (Lori) of Mullica Hill, and Matthew Tworzydlo of Audubon. Dear sister-in-law of Anna Wright (the late Bud) of Marlton, NJ. Proud grandmother of Zachary LaCelle (Katie), Joshua LaCelle (Danielle), Jared LaCelle, Tyler Tworzydlo (Skyla), Ian Tworzydlo, Nicole Tworzydlo and Christopher Tworzydlo. Great grandmother ('Gigi') to Gabriella Tworzydlo and Chase LaCelle. Evelyn enjoyed music throughout her life. She was an accomplished pianist, but found the most joy in singing. She shared her soprano voice at weddings and through participation as a soloist and member of the choir at Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a member for over 50 years. Her children recall many years when she sang the Star Spangled Banner at the Bluebird Community July 4th celebration at Cooper River. Other interests included traveling with her husband, Jack, and sharing many fun activities with their close friends. She valued her friendships and nurtured them faithfully. She tended her flower gardens with great care, and loved being a hostess and cooking for her family. Her priorities were her faith in Jesus and her love of family. She will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Thursday, April 18, from 9:30 to 11 AM at BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH, 1704 Springdale Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08003, followed by her memorial service at 11 AM. She will be interred at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, Contributions in Evelyn’s memory may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.
