During his three varsity seasons on Collingswood’s basketball team, 6-foot-3 senior Tomas Money Jr. showed a steady progression each year. As a sophomore, Money averaged 9.6 points per game. That increased to 12.5 points per game as a junior. And then this season he took it to another level, averaging 18.6 points and setting the Collingswood single-game scoring record, not once but twice.
Hannah Hidalgo might only be a freshman on the women’s college basketball scene, but the Paul VI High School grad clearly knows how to finish the regular season on a high note. On Tuesday, the starting point guard for the Notre Dame women’s basketball team was named both the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie and ACC Defensive Player of the Year.

Haddon Township’s Tom Mulligan, among the top high school girls basketball coaches in South Jersey history, has decided to call it a coaching career. The news came prior to Haddon Township’s opening 43-18 South Jersey Group 2 win over Lindenwold.

Haddonfield Memorial High School’s girls and boys swim teams like doing things in twos. After winning sectional titles and their respective state semifinal meets, both squads made the trip to Rutgers University last weekend and returned home with championship trophies.
When the Audubon High School girls indoor track team won their South Jersey Group 1 championship last month, they had to do it without head coach Steve Ireland. Due to a serious and sudden medical condition, Ireland didn’t have a chance to explain to his team that he wouldn’t be coaching that day.

Make An Impact Game: Collingswood High School girls basketball team thanked district staff members who have made an impact on their lives. “If you know anything about my team, I am lucky to coach an amazing group of girls this year and for all of my years,” said coach Nancy O’Neill. “We started a tradition of thanking staff members who have made an impact.
The NJSIAA high school boys’ basketball state tournament began on Wednesday. There is no margin for error in this one-and-done tournament. Four teams from The Retrospect area have qualified and none will come close to being favored but that doesn’t mean they won’t be competitive. Here is a look at the teams.
